Tulsa Musicians | Tiffany Howig | “Lay It All On Me” Cover

Tiffany Howig has released her original version of “Lay it All on Me” by Rudimental featuring Ed Sheeran. Howig represents one of many Tulsa musicians that are on the rise in the music scene.

When choosing a familiar song to cover by a popular artist, many Tulsa musicians shy away from big names like Alicia Keys, Tamia, Ed Sheeran, and Justin Timberlake – but not Howig. She has tackled many popular songs from these artists, and “Lay It All on Me” is her latest release.

Rudimental’s original version of the track features a steel drum that creates a unique feel to the song. Howig has adapted the track to fit her stripped, piano arrangement of the song and made it her own. In post production the Madness Media added strings to create a more dramatic feel throughout the song.

For the video recorded with the vocal and piano arrangement of the song, Howig and the Madness Media team decided to produce it in black and white for the simple, vintage feel. Howig being an old soul at heart derives influences from artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, and Doris Day. To see the full video, check it out below:
